Smashing the Champagne Bottle

So, this is it. I’m going to dive into the world of blogging once again, and this time I’m going to be talking about my love of flowers. It seems absolutely mad to talk about this, but I’m quietly excited.

I want you to know me, even if it means exposing a part of myself that I thought I’d never be able to share. There will be photography, reviews of movies, travel blogging, and sexual thoughts.

I thought that this little picture of a Passion Flower was a good place to start.

Just look at her. The colours of her body, the gentle patterns in her that seems almost mathematically beautiful, but most of all, the way that she’s reaching for us. Like any climbing plant, she yearns for physical affection; a desire to both touch and be touched.

When I took this photograph her beauty nearly took my breath away. It was a strange time, as I was actively falling in love with my current partner (who is the light of my life, every single day) and delirious with COVID; the beauty of the world was practically bursting at the seams.

It was an awakening of something that I’d tried to ignore for years, ever since I fled from my home county in the midst of some severe personal turmoil.

That, however, is for another time. This post is simply to say hello, and I think hello has been said sufficiently. I’m not going to be editing these posts, so I’ll use them as a repository for my thoughts and feelings.

For now, I’ll say goodnight. I love you, dear reader, and I hope that you’re in love with the world around you.

All the best, and sleep well,

Teapot xoxo
